omg, fast internet!
2009-09-27, 5:49 AM #1
I'm in port in Bahrain and sitting at the Liberty Center where they have decent computers with actual fast *(ie normal) internet. I have not experienced this in about 2 months...

So, while I have this capability, what should I do??

Restrictions:

There's a sign next to me that says no terrorist sites, no porn, and no gambling. Also, there doesn't seem to be the latest version of Flash Player, so videos may be out.. I'll experiment to see if I can upgrade it.

I don't have much use for fast internet on a machine that isn't mine. Fast net is great for gaming, and downloading perfectly-legal-things and for downloading something that the sign disallows.
I dunno what else you'd want fast internet for... depending on how slow your slow net is that is

I know. I wish I was home at my own computer..

but my slow internet is very slow. like slower than dial-up usually.

Anyway, youtube works, so post some fun videos or something.

They'd obviously find out he's faking it since the Islamic terrorists are against porn, I think.

Plenty of religions are against porn, that doesn't mean the followers follow that particular rule so strictly

This is reminding me of the one issue of The Massassian that talked about participation in NeS rising 300 percent when erotica was accidentially posted on it. :)

dry land isn't so enjoyable when I don't have my wife at my side. But I did have dinner at a sushi place and ate a ridiculous amount of said sushi.

I had a few drinks one night (I started drinking late, and only had about a half an hour, so I put down 4 double rum and cokes and 3 beers, and managed to get a light buzz just in time to have to leave.. But then I don't drink that much anymore.)

Other than that, I spent the majority of the time on the phone or the computer.

maybe because you're not going outside in TEH UBERHOT MIDDLE EAST in late September (though it was alot better this time then last time we were here at the end of August).

And, I can't use the phone outside. And since being in port is basically my only oppurtunity to talk to the wife, it wins over being outside. Same with the computer. I was using the time on the computer to chat with my wife and my sister while viewing their webcams. It was terribly nice to 'see' both of them.
