That's...somewhat scary.

Can anyone who's been to Japan confirm that it's not all Tenga eggs and odd J-pop music? I'm assuming that's the type of music that was playing in that video.

Most of japan is normal, it is just that lots of the subcultures tend to get more attention.

I don't mind native Japanese culture at all, that type of music just manages to scare me a bit and also seems to push me towards anger every time I hear it.

This type of culture is perceived similarly to US internet culture (e.g. 4chan) is perceived in the US

As in, most people are like wtf or view it as children's stuff

that or EXTREMELY UGLY women, so ugly that a paper bag won't suffice, thus they must wear piñatas.
