The weirdest poll Massassi has ever had.
2009-09-28, 4:58 PM #1
My psychology professor asked one weird question to our class today.

"Alright, let's say you have a clone of yourself, and you allow it to pleasure you.
Does that mean what is being done is an act of homosexuality, or an act of masturbation?"

Remember, this is an exact clone, down to every last little detail. Since it is a clone of yourself, are you pleasuring yourself, or getting pleasured by another man?

Both?
nope.

It's homosexuality. It's a clone. It is not you. Masturbation requires pleasuring one's self. A clone, as identical as it may be, is not your self.

I don't see how this is an issue. My clone isn't me, so...

I voted masturbation, because I'm freaky like that :ninja:

You can masturbate WITH a clone. As in, use the clone to pleasure yourself.

Umm.... Hand != Mouth.

Bending over (not possible, but let's say so), != different mouth.

All in all, if I had to, I'd do it myself. My clone can do himself when he wants, and in a separate room.

Come back when "clone" is replaced with "yourself from another time period" and then it'll get worth talking about. We've had these conversations at work involving portals... yeah... my work environment is very lax. :P

What if I cloned my fiancee and had a foursome?

That's one for the shrink.
nope.

This is not the weirdest poll ever. ShoddowX's poll about wiping yourself off was the weirdest poll.

I was going to mention the exact same poll.
DO NOT WANT.

Even though it is your clone even down to the last hair on your ***, it's still another viable human being and we say homosexuality is sex between two separate individuals of the same sex.

Even then, that would be veeeery trippy and just....weird.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

It's like a more vulgar version of "what's the sound of one hand clapping" or "if a tree falls in the forest" mixed with a healthy dose of "you flip over a tortoise; why?" Pseudo-intellectual rhetorical question masquerading as zen wisdom that exists for the sole purpose of stimulating a response that can be trivially criticized regardless of which forced binary option you accept.

Here's another question: There's a perfect clone of you, only it's a woman. If you were born a girl, you'd be this person. You rape her to death. Why did you do that?

"I mistook her for a female version of Jon'C" seems to be the easy answer.

Your clone is a distinct person, both intuitively and legally. It's homosexuality.

Legally? To me, the answer is obvious, but... legally? Is there a law now that any clone is a separate person? I just don't remember the last person that was cloned where they had to make a law for it...

err, actually we use "homosexuality" to refer to being attracted to others of the same gender, regardless of any sexual activity.

do you make up these questions mr. joncy, or do they write 'em down for you?
2009-09-29, 3:57 AM #21
the clone is only an exact copy of you until the moment it awakens, from then on it is a totally different being with most likely a series of differently timed thoughts, which althought likely to be about very similar things, happen in ways that can lead to different conclusions.

Homo act :P

How revealing.

What you're really saying is that all women are essentially the same. You're suggesting that our individual differences no longer exist or no longer matter once we are women: the female version of yourself is the 'same thing' as my female version. Paired with the very obvious suggestion that you would avenge yourself on me by raping a woman to death, and we have a very troubled psyche.

I'm sorry but nobody understands. You will have to explain your jokes.

Definitely a homosexual act, even if it is you from another time period or some crap like that.
Sex with another person is sex with another person, even if it's another you.

I've been found out! :o Let's not forget that, due to the similarities, I see something of yourself in me as well, so I'm self-hating as well. Oh dear me.

Seriously, though, has anyone really heard or took this silly hypothetical as anything of a trap disguised as meaningful conversation? When the guys at work talk about this sort of stuff, it's just mostly an excuse to be obnoxious and throw around "that's what she said" jokes or whatnot.

It's in a psychology class. There are entire classes of rhetorical questions designed to provoke an emotional response.

A female version of Jon`C was just begging for it.

Dating a female version of Jon'C would be nightmare. Unless you find being bludgeoned by sarcasm and esoteric statements over and over and over remotely kinky.
