I hope they didn't rip off Battlestar so much it doesn't have that "Stargate" feel to it. I love SG-1 and Atlantis. This appears SOOOOOOOO different.

you sure you aren't thinking about DS9?

Voyager had the most haughty and heavy-handed portrayal of humanity out of any of the Star Treks. And even if the other series were worse, at least they were consistent: the characters in Voyager oscillated between irrational extremes to suit the momentary needs of the plot with absolutely no regard for continuity.

DS9 was terrible because it did have it's head up it's ***.
"Darker and Edgier" which.. is what Universe is going for.
