Wierd Monitor Issue
2009-10-02, 10:47 AM #1
A machine here at work has been having some monitor issues, but I'm not so sure that its the monitor itself. I figured I'd ask here to see if anyone else has had the issue.

Problem: Everything on the screen has a smeared look to it. Text is most noticeable, its as if you wrote in pen, and then took a damp cloth and smeared it from left to right.

Failed Solutions: Changing frequencies/resolutions on monitor. Replacing monitor with a different model.

I wasn't sure if video card issues transfer into screen shots or not, so I tried that. A screen shot off the machine does not replicate the issues in the image onto another machine. Could it still be a video card issue? Could my cable be fried somehow?

The machine has a cable that runs from the videocard around and under the press, to the front side where the monitor plugs in, the connection between that cord and the monitor had been jiggled loose I guess from the machine running.
