I've tried it several times, and never really liked it. It was just too complicated getting custom skins/themes to work for it.

It's free! It's very cool if you've got the time and nouse to dedicate to it. I had one, but not the other, so went to windowblinds!

^^^ Thats exactly it. Litestep can be cool, but only if you're willing to devote extra time to configuring it, and learning how to use it. Dont expect to immediately have a bunch of different cool themes upon downloading it.

I've tried Litestep and I didn't like it. I found it unappealing. And a little cumbersome. That's my take though.

Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Pretty much what everyone else said. Plus it's promise of using less ram than explorer proved to be wrong on the system I installed it on.

Yeah...
I like litesteps... But that’s just me...

It does take quite a lot of work to get it setup properly. And litesteps does NOT handle multi-monitors well. Not to say that you can configure it to work, but it took me about 3 hours to re-configure my shell to work correctly with two desktops, and it is still a very ugly solution and is lacking in a few departments.

Anyway, if you want power and a fully customizable shell, you want litesteps, if you simply want themes that work, go use something else.
