So it's on ABC tonight. I recently subscribed to HD cable and I am looking forward to this show. I have fond memories of the original from back in the day. I wonder what I would think of it if I were to watch it now.

So a notice/reminder for those who were unaware it was tonight and check back in with your impressions.

I'm a big fan of the original miniseries. The TV series after the fact was not so great. Even the second miniseries wasn't that great because of the stupid "star child." I have all of those on DVD.

I'm going to have to wait for the new one to come out on DVD/bluray or streaming through netflix because I don't get any real tv channels anymore. Let me know how it is.

I have no idea what either of you are talking about. Probably due to the fact that the only thing I watch on television each week is the Vikings game.

I have the original series and have only watched one or two of the first episodes.

There were 3 different ones -- V the original mini series (best), V the final battle (second miniseries, second best) and V the tv series (ran for a season or something, not good).

I am indifferent. It setup the show the way it needed to and didn't really surprise. I will watch next week and see how it goes.

I did find it interesting that the Visitors were both terrorists and proponents of Universal Health Care.

Glad to hear some positive things. I caught about 5 minutes of the beginning over at my folks house but had to leave. My mom recorded it for me on her DVR so hopefully I'll be able to watch it within a week or so.

Brian, you can watch it online at amazon for free, if you want.

I watched it. I'm gonna watch it next week, but that will determine if I continue to watch it or not. Some things I liked about it, some things I didn't.

I know nothing about the old V stuff, so everything is new to me.

why are the hot chicks always evil ???? (assume you all know who I'm talking about)

ok to be fair that actress has played good (Firefly) and bad roles, but that last two I've seen her in have both been evil (Adria, SG-1) and now Anna in V. As a note her picture on Wiki does not do her justice.

As for the show, quite enjoyed it, looking forward to the next.

They may be terrorists, but they aren't idiots.

Found it on roku in HD. It was pretty good.

I rather wish they had waited beyond the first 45 minutes to reveal that there was actually a plot. They could have spent at least a few episodes giving evidence that supported one way or the other.

I watched the first episode with my dad earlier today. I thought it was pretty bland and full of moments I didn't buy and the premise of a bad guy winning through charisma I think was done pretty poorly.
