Anything Goes has to still be my favorite musical, and its title song my favorite song from a musical:

Although I do really like the Youtube College Musical series (done by a bunch of Yale students ... the music is :awesome:).

Post your faves!

Moulin Rouge.

Although my favorite song from a musical might be Rock Island, even though I don't like The Music Man. Well I guess it's not really song, but it's fun.

I also like Calamity Jane a lot.

Ugh... the a cappella kids.

I'm a huge fan of almost all the songs from Dr. Horrible. If we're only counting "real" musicals, I like the standards from West Side Story. Otherwise I'm just not a big MT fan.

Well, one of the musicals that comes to mind for me is Man of La Mancha. One of my favorite musical songs to boot (as well as the remix at the end) is The Impossible Dream. The movie version here is maybe not the best I've heard:

While technically a rock opera, I feel Jesus Christ Superstar should be mentioned too, as it (and this song) rock:

And, while there's plenty more, I think I'll end with one sugarless got me interested in a while back. It's a song from "The Last Five Years" called "The Schmuel Song" (a bit long):

There's a lot of better songs from The Last Five Years. >_< But I just hate that song based on a friend who used to sing it all the time.

Eh, there are lots of other good songs from it, but I rather like this one. Still, I understand what you mean because all the other versions of this song I saw on Youtube were horrible.

Arg...trying to pick a favorite musical....I can't! .( I love them all!
But here are some ones I thought I'd throw in for good measure:

"Ford, you're turning into a penguin. Stop it."

I plan to make about 50 different posts on this thread because I'm a big fan of musicals, but I'll start with this handful:

Luck be a Lady, from Guys and Dolls

Tonight (ensemble) from West Side Story

I also like Officer Krupke from WSS, but I'm trying to keep this relatively short

Schadenfreude, from Avenue Q

As for The Last Five Years, I love that soundtrack, and they have a lot of funny songs, but their really depressing songs are fantastic

(I wish I could find a better quality version of the song, but apparently the demo didn't have Norbert Leo Butz, who is beyond fantastic, and I can't really deal with anyone else doing this song)

Fincham: I meant where are you sitting. This wasn't an existential question.

I almost did too, but I got caught up in so many depressing songs that I figured I needed to give myself a little break and then thought to myself "Oh! Avenue Q!"

Lotta good ones posted. Massassians appear to have good taste in musicals

Everyone's A Little Bit Racist, from Avenue Q

Popular, from Wicked

Kristen Chenoweth is awesome.
