Because people are idiotic enough to pay for services like this when there are scores of free programs to be found through a simple google search that will do a much better job.

I went to go check all their references, like the cnet review and such, which as expected was complete malarkey.

However, I was disappointed (maybe I shouldn't have been?) to find out that the better business bureau has them highly rated (http://www.la.bbb.org/Business-Report/Cyberdefender-13196224). They are a company that openly lies and falsifies information, but I guess according to the BBB that's just enough to knock them down from an A+ to an A.
