I made a hot, shredded pork sandwich with BBQ sauce the other night and it was delicious.

You ever eat at Kinder's?
2009-11-14, 12:54 AM #4
i've been known to fire up the grill and make myself a burger in the middle of the night... even if there is snow on the ground

and i have special handmade beef patties for my burgers... jalapenos and habaneros chopped up and mixed in the beef along with chili powder, tabasco sauce, and a few other things cooked with some tabasco habanero sauce and then topped with pepperjack, sliced jalapenos and bacon
eat right, exercise, die anyway

DrkJedi I don't eat burgers .. but that sounds delicious.

Midnight snacks are usually leftovers ... usually want to EAT something not make something. Maybe a walk down the the 7-11 and grab a sandwich and chips for $5.
2009-11-14, 7:10 AM #10
My post-midnight snacks are almost always omelets. Quick to make, delicious, and I feel like I can actually cook afterwards.
It took a while for you to find me; I was hiding in the lime tree.

Glad to see I'm not the only person who enjoys an unhealthy midnight snack every once in a while. I don't have anything particularly striking when it comes to such foods (although I've found that garlic toast with cheese is easy to make in the middle of the night and quite enjoyable to eat), though the other night I did perform a culinary experiment that rather failed... so just to let everyone know, deep-frying a pizza pocket does not work.
Stuff

That sounds SO good though.

I've eaten pasta at 2 in the morning, but that's generally the weirdest it gets.

What the hell is wrong with eating pasta at 2 in the morning?
I eat pasta at 2 am all the time.
I cook a big container of pasta, fry up some ground meat, mix the two together with a bunch of other crap, and throw it in the fridge to snack off for the next couple days.

Box of whole wheat pasta, couple pounds ground meat, dash of hot sesame oil, generous amount of hot sauce, cayenne powder, dried chili peppers, oregano, parsley, garlic, wistechere (how the hell do you spell it), roasted red peppers, what other crap I got laying around.

SOOOO good.

Annie's penne pasta with alfredo sauce, and garlic chicken sausage cut up and mixed in. :awesome:
DO NOT WANT.

Mostly it's being not hungry enough to justify a full meal.

I guess that's mostly why I'll end up eating cookies or jaffa cakes over anything else at those times. Maybe a sandwich if I don't have either.

There are several around the east bay. Google it.

Get the "Famous Ball Tip Sandwich". It's one of the single best pieces of food I've had around here, at any price. Make sure you drown it in the sauce they have sitting at each table. Trust me.

DrkJedi82, man that would be sooo delicious, but my stomach (not to mention my *** hole) would hate me later. :o

Anyway, when I was younger, I used to wake up in the middle of the night and chug a 12 oz can of Mountain Dew... It helped me get back to sleep. :o ADHD?
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

What city are you from?

We have kinder's cater our monthly meetings at work. There's usually only 11 of us there and we feel spoiled with all that food. I love their hot links.

Heart is delicious. Chicken gizzards and hearts covered with corn meal and then pan fried is a great midnight snack. Some people throw out the hearts, but they're good eating.
