New Mario Bros. Wii

Can you say best purchase EVER? I bought this game last week when it came out and I must say I can't remember the last time I've had this much fun on my Wii. I beat the games 8 worlds after owning the game only a day or two, but ever since then I've been fighting to get all the secret coins to unlock levels in World 9. I've been playing the game mostly with 3 people, but every once and a while there will be a full on 4 people and that's when mayhem really breaks out. Throwing your friends into lava pits, fighting over power ups, stealing your friends yoshi- the fun never ends. I highly recommend this game to everyone who has a Wii, and especially to those considering buying one. Anyone else own this game yet? Thoughts?
Think while it's still legal.

Didn't you say The Conduit was going to be the best Wii game ever last time?

Considering I never played The Conduit- no. Nice try though.

It's on my wishlist. My mom was talking about how she was having trouble finding one of the games I asked for and I was like "New Super Mario Bros. Wii" and she was all like "...". :P

She's probably gonna order it online for me. Joy!

Also I have The Conduit. It's pretty fun, I have yet to try it online though (I don't have Wii Speak which is a bit of a bummer, more of a bummer is that I can't just use my headset...).

I haven't bought a game for wii since metroid years ago. But I will get this one because I love 2d side-scrolling mario games.

So it's not a "omfg Mario is a name we can cash in on" game?
(Don't have a Wii regaurdless, but that's my opinion of a new Mario game)

Glad to see they didn't do mario wrong.

It's supposed to be the most difficult Mario game to date (if you don't count "The Lost Levels") because it has an option that allows you to let the computer take control to bypass areas you can't get passed, for casual players.

It's definitely extremely hard but it becomes a lot easier when you add in more players. One particular level even with two people took almost two hours to beat.

I welcome some increased difficulty. I really enjoyed New Super Mario Bros. on the DS but it was way too easy. And going back looking for big coins isn't my idea of making a game more difficult. Hopefully the Wii one will meet my expectations.

I also didn't enjoy digging up coins on the DS version of NSMB, but for some reason with multiplayer in the mix, it becomes something you WANT to do instead of a chore.

I would buy this game in an instance if I owned a Wii.

When was the last time they actually did a platformer Mario wrong, though? Galaxy seems to be viewed as a wonderful game, and the original New Mario Bros. on the DS seemed like quality stuff, never played it myself however.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

I got all those coins on the DS, only to find getting 100% of them didn't do anything

The Condiut was good, but not amazing.

The new Mario is amazing. It's completely different on single player vs multiplayer too. Playing with friends makes it a blast, so much better than old school mario games. Not to mention the fact that theres dozens of throwbacks in the game.
