Black Friday Deals

Just curious if anyone here is planning on going out for any sales on Black Friday. If so, post what you're interested in getting and where you're going.

Maybe L4D2, if I could find a good price.

But I doubt it. Not only that, Valve might have a surprise sale near the Christmas holiday.

I'll be doing my holiday shopping online as usual. It's much less stressful & the deals are usual just as good as those in the stores, if not better.
? :)

Got some good deals on Amazon for some Christmas gifts. Considering braving the world for additional shopping, but the real world takes a lot of effort.

Went out last year for some proper work clothes, got plenty of nice dress shirts, slacks, and ties from Express and Macy's for dirt cheap (compared to normal price tags). Just had to get up at 4am to avoid the chaos.

Scored the 32" LG 1080p TV from Newegg for $400. Probably the only thing I'll actually buy for myself.

i got a new lcd yesterday, the hp 2009m, for $140 at walmart. but i don't think it was a special deal or anything, just needed one.

Got a Samsung 24" 1080P monitor from Newegg today for $190. Can't wait for that to come in.
2009-11-27, 4:29 PM #12
Oil Change: $22
HDMI Cable: $5

before tax.

And neither were part of a Black Friday Sale, but I bought them anyway.

I found a $15 off coupon online for EZ Lube.
And the HDMI cable looked like it had been repackaged at Fry's Electronics, but it was the cheapest one, and it works!

I didn't do one damn thing of shopping other than Starbucks, Stone IPA, and Jack in the Box.

I am proud of this fact.

Re-totaled list:

Oil: 23.50
HDMI Cable: 5.50
FarCry 2 for PC: 5.50

Total: 34.50

Considering the oil change is 34.99 before tax normally, I'd say I made out pretty well today.

It's always funky around this time of the year for me too (shipping costs aren't even that bad these days)... even though those Freakazoid DVDs are still unaffected by anything. Le sigh.

The Monty Python megabox doesn't seem too attractive for me to try defy customs authorities again... oh well, gonna go with House M.D S3-S5 this year.

I'd never heard of Black Friday until there was a massassi thread about it (long time ago now).

How? Where? Details, please!

I let go of all of my subscriptions last year because they were getting too pricey and we just didn't have any money to spare.

I think that it was only for Black Friday but it was on this website (you had to click the "Black Friday" button upon checkout. The deal was posted on this website for 11/27/2009. Just about every other magazine that wasn't on the list was discounted at 20%.

At its *peak* my porn collection was only 500 gigs; so that would fill about a sixteenth of just the drives I've purchased in the past month. :psyduck:

I'm a bit confused as to why it's categorized under earrings and yet it's clearly a necklace?

There are matching earrings here: http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/jewelry/gemstones/peridot/earrings/PRD~330755/10k+Gold+Peridot+Stud+Earrings.jsp

but I don't know why the pendant was labeled the same way. Trust me though, it's not earrings.
