Job Hazards...

my biggest hazard is the potentiality of murdering one of my managers/coworkers in a fit of idiocy induced rage.

also, photo chemical fumes could give me cancer if i tried hard enough.
My girlfriend paid a lot of money for that tv; I want to watch ALL OF IT. - JM

I wasn't mentioned specifically by name, but we did get a small article in the local section of the local newspaper.

"An armed suspect attempted to hold up a local business yesterday, but was subdued by two employees" or something like that. It wasn't even worth clipping and saving.

I had a guy threaten to bite off my nose because I didn't say I was his buddy. It has all the infection dangers that you'd find in an ordinary hospital, especially because many of the patients either have a very lax sense of hygiene or are so psychotic that they have lost conscious control of their excretory functions.

I work in a hospital (in a non-clinical boring admin role) so apart from airborne pathogens and patients in pain/intoxicated who might assault me it's fairly safe.

The commute is more interesting as I live in one of the more colourful parts of inner-city south London. There are the occasional stabbings and assaults on the buses and we have a nice combination of a mental health clinic, methadone clinic, alcohol abuse clinic, unreformed youth rehousing project and refugee centre. It brings together a wonderful combination of the poor, desperate, anti-social and irrational.

You're a bad man.

On my part, I'm doing my best in the coming weeks to avoid working the night that those detestable little scrotes Jedward visit Liverpool.

What kind of machines do you use? I run a digital print shop myself. Would be nice to have someone to talk to about Indigo problems lol.

We're using a Mimaki JV33-160 printer. Just upgraded from an older Mimaki a few months ago. Much nicer and faster than the old one. What are you using?

Anything that comes with dealing with sick people, or with general lab work. I work with both viruses and bacteria, and there have been recorded cases of infection.

Also I work in the Bronx, and sometimes I work in a place called Bronx Lebanon, which is pretty shady. Otherwise, it's a pretty nice place.

So are rumbles common hazards, or runaway hovercraft? :ninja:
nope.
