I'm planning on going to college (hopefully soon), but the problem is I've never taken the ACT, and I'm flunking MISERABLY the online practice tests I'm taking. I can't remember JACK about math or English grammar after not using it for so long. (I never took the ACT in high school; I'm not sure why). Anyone have any good study methods or suggestions?

You could do what I did, don't study at all. Wait, that wasn't a positive suggestion...Sorry I don't know what to tell you. All people have different ways of studying, especially for those kind of tests.

Around here they use SAT. However, if you want to go to a community college you just take a placement test. In WA, a 4yr university is required to accept you if you get a 2yr degree. You could look into that.

Barring that, STUDY. There are tons of books to help you.

The ACT counts for more in the Midwest, or more colleges use it as an acceptance tool. Why, I don't know.

I just found out I can use the SAT for the college I want to go to also (they have an SAT to ACT score conversion chart on their webpage), which seems a bit easier, but still out of my league. I don't think I'll be going as soon as I'd like to be. Not much I can do really but study.

It involves poring over tons of information in every way imaginable, in hopes that in doing so, one will remember it more effectively.
