I may have a job as well, I should be getting a call any day now... unofficially I supposedly got it...

I'm expecting a call today about a job I interviewed for a couple days ago.

I worked a total of 2 days in November. Down from my 10 hour days 5 or 6 days a week that had been going on before.
Fincham: Where are you going?
Me: I have no idea
Fincham: I meant where are you sitting. This wasn't an existential question.

Started my new job in November as well. Of course, this was after a few months of unemployment (but only because I was stubborn and didn't just want any job.) It was nice having the luxury to be picky...I know not everyone does. Either way, I'm happy to have a steady paycheck now.

I have a part time job I will probably end up losing, but I was gonna quit when exam time came anyway.
I don't think I really count.

Hooray, Obama did it!

Oh, wait, not really. But that's okay, because Congress will blame him when the jobless rate goes up again because he didn't create enough jobs.

It's a Christmas miracle!
It took a while for you to find me; I was hiding in the lime tree.

Still holding my job. Four years now. Increasingly responsible position. Just got a raise, too. A five figure raise. Awwww yeah. Take that, economy!

But I also have another person to feed now, a person who isn't bringing in any income :argh:

And yet I'm still unemployed. I've applied for dozens of jobs, and had 3 interviews. Two didn't hire me, and the other did - but the job was only if Safeway went on strike, and they didn't.

Give me job. :(

this is going to really suck once all the seasonally hired employees get dropped and unemployment skyrockets back up.

I need to decrease my personal jobless rate from 1 to 0 by June.

I've been getting rejected for jobs I had forgotten that I applied for. Although one of the last ones I got knocked back for was kind enough to offer some decent feedback. Apparently for the government jobs I had been applying for, my applications of 2.5-3 pages were far too short. They should have been double what I had writen. I had been worried my 3 pages was too long.

Other annoyances:
- job ads with no closing date on them.
- employers who wont accept or provide anything other then MS Office files. I don't use windows and openoffice's attempts to save word files seem to be a hit and miss affair. What the hell is wrong with pdf?
