Arnold's speech
2004-08-31, 4:41 PM #1
I thought it was a really good speech. I didn't necessarily agree with everything he said, (I thought it kind of funny when he was talking about succeeding by following the rules, while he himself did steroids once or twice... <.< ) but I think that America really needs more politicians, if not speechwriters, like that.

What did you think?

Yes, it was a swell speech. I also didn't agree with everything he said, but still a good speech.

You have to remember that the guy is an actor, thus, he's kinda gifted for that type deal. He could probably make almost any speech sound good.

Oh, and did anyone stick around for the Bush daughter's speech? If you can call it that...

Highlights:
"Grammie.. we love you 'n all, but you just aren't hip!"
"Grandma thought sex in the city was something adults did but never talked about."
"Heehee!" *Hair swish*

I had to leave the room...

The Bush Daughters reminded me of a popular girl running for student office, whose speech was written by her Boyfriend, who doesn't understand that she doesn't have a sense of humor.

I like Ah-nuld (he's my governor) he's ok. But I didn't think he support Bush like he did. When Bush looses, I hope to hear Ah-nuld's girly-man speech about Kerry. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

I think what Arnold is hoping is that Bush will win and then maybe he can try to do something about the native-born presidential requirement. Then Arnold could run for president.

(I would totally vote for him, by the way, he's the coolest, ever. And then we Americans could say stuff like, "My president can beat up your president" whilst taunting those of other countries.)

According to Schwarzenegger, they're the pessimist economists. I like how Arnold embraces his acting career. I hope on the last day of the convention, he'll say something like, "Come with Bush if you want to live."

I think Ahuld would make a better president then then half the people that ran for presidency in the past 8 years or so. He is smart, he listens to the people, I hear that he is really doing a lot for California, he knows politics, he isn't crooked, because like he said "Why would I take a bribe? I have all the money I could ever need."

True, he might be a bad actor, but he's still an actor. He's had the "training" I guess you could call it. Other politicians don't have that.

The reason Arnold is a good politician....is because he isn't a politician. He's new to the game and hasn't been "tainted" with the double talk, obscure answers, and empty promises just to get votes. Those, however, are trademarks of most politicians. They have to do that, he doesn't.

Last month, he called the democrats who were holding up the California state budget "girlie men" for caving into special intrest groups in a speech.
