School Network Drive question

im trying to find a way to link file/images i have on my school network drive to other sites, specifically i have a /www/ folder on my network drive that i have permission for a webpage and webspace.

I connected to the network through my home pc and it just comes up as a regular folder

so i really dont know what my webspace is or how to get to it from anywhere but my network folder.

You are probably connecting via FTP instead of HTTP. FTP is used to upload files. The reason that it looks like folders to you is because IE likes to display the FTP as just another folder. Either way, you need the http://URL/ page to view it. The URL can simply be the server's IP address, or if it has a domain name, that will work too. (So either http://127.0.0.1 or http://www.sorrowind.net)

BTW: if you think the server's ip address starts with 127 or 192, you have the wrong IP. That's its network IP, not internet IP.
