Ok, I know basically the internal workings of a PC, and what the components do, as I built one earlier this spring. But, I still don't know (exactly) what a Northbridge (FSB) or South Bridge do. As far as I can tell, the Northbridge sorts out instructions to be sent to the VPU and the CPU. And I think the Southbridge coordinates stuff like USB, Firewire, ATA, CD drive, ect. Am I right?
The reason I ask this is because I was assigned an oral report on something, so I picked the PC, because that would be pretty easy for me. Well that, and I was curious.
