I am putting together a Lego Darth Vader Tie-fighter. I still got the AT-OT to put together as well. I will post pics when I'm done. Anyone else ever put any Lego Star Wars stuff together? I'm planning on at some point buying a Star Destroyer in the future, when my wife gets a nursing job. Those things are 200 bucks.

You're putting the legos together for your kid?

Do you HATE him?

He's four. He's helping out. He's not quite got the coordination for the smaller parts.

then why didja get them for him? ironically, my 25 year old brother who grew up on legos and technics and can build suspension bridges with no instructions got a bionicle for christmas this year. The ultimate insult. :v:
DO NOT WANT.

Guys quit hating. He's going to be spending quality time with his son, doing an activity that will be fun for both of them and will be a source of natural learning for the boy. Good on you, Outlaw.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Are legos safe for 4 year olds?

Zell : Suspension bridges are not complicated. Have him build a suspension bridge with no towers.

(And its not like the kid can't grow into them)

im 18 now, but when i was little i still collect them, my GF makes fun of me because i still have my giant giant x-wing displayed that cost like 200 bucks

$200? That's nothing for LEGO.

This thing is $500 and like 3 feet long, accurate scale with respect to the mini-figs. No I don't have it.

I got Vader's TIE today, too :D

My ISD hasn't been assembled in a while, it's in a dedicated tackle box for the pieces. I may reassemble it after I move, see if I can beat my last build time.

My four year old and my two year old both know they aren't for eating. They both love the Lego games. And my four year old has watched intently to see it come along, gets really excited when we get another major piece done. Its awesome.

I spent an hour playing legos with my Nephew today, he got one of the Halo theme'd sets for xmas. I find it's so much more fun to mix kits and be creative rather than build what you are supposed to.

I got a kick out of trying to build the alternate models from the one or two reference pics on the back of the box. Haven't seen those on recent sets though :(

If I had a kid, I would only show it the original SW trilogy, and let it discover the prequels when it's old enough to not feel nostalgic about them years later. So maybe in its twenties.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Teach reading with the Thrawn Trilogy.

I'm doing one just as good. I'm teaching him with the Dark Empire and Crimson Empire comics.

When my son was a little boy we use to build Legos together for many hours from just our imaginations. We have a tote container full to the brim with Legos that we collected since he was little. Sometimes I built things by myself, I know ill never grow up.

I built this about 10 years ago, its a little dusty but I never took it apart

Well I guess Im just a mortal here. I thought it was a good design, but you know ha ha you are right. Im thinking of introducing a 3do template version of this in future if I get good at this. I called it the Liberator.

This post is disgusting.

The Halo theme's building sets are Mega Bloks. MEGA BLOKS ARE NOT LEGO

This concept has been accomplished. It's disguised as the new Dallas Cowboys Football Stadium.
