Awesome. Awesome awesome.

I guess I can see why it wouldn't jive for some people, but I really loved it.

Rachel McAdams is super hot and Robert Downey Jr. is amazing, once again. I was so entertained I was even accepting of the magic being real half way through. I absolutely should have anticipated the wrap up he did, and how Lord Blackwood did it all, but I was so entertained I had accepted it as "Holmes as Lovecraft would have written it." Totally felt like an idiot after that. [edit]Small disclaimer, I've never finished any of the original Doyle stories. Think I will now because I remember Holmes being a nutcase like this. Ooh so exciting.

Anyone else seen it?

Downey Jr is pretty much awesome in everything I've seen him in. I can't wait to see this.

I'd give it a B+. Downey was awesome, but Law was somewhat mediocre. Pacing was a bit off, but the plot, acting and atmosphere were spot on.

Haven't seen the movie, but she is my favorite ever, so I will now go see the movie for solely that reason.

I saw it, I thought it was kinda cool. There were a lot of Ace Ventura 2 moments in it though: "the great white bat has great white GUANO!"

Did they have someone say "No ****, Sherlock"?
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

No. Also no "Elementary"

Doyle never had Sherlock Holmes say "Elementary" anyway. Basil Rathbone made that up.
