The highlight was this, with a few plates. I'm going to use my grandmother's christmas money to get a bench. Along with the dumbbells I already have, I'll have myself a kinda sorta mini home gym thing going on :P

I got a promissory note from my parents that they'll provide me with £150 for spending money before I go away to Canada in June, and from my brother I got the next four books in the Malazan Book of the Fallen series (The Bonehunters, Reaper's Gale, Toll the Hounds, and Dust of Dreams). Since they didn't want me not having anything to unwrap from them on Christmas morning, I also got a bunch of smaller gifts from my parents like a fleece dressing gown (awesomely comfortable), aftershave, that kind of thing.

Oh definitely. I have tendon problems in one of my wrists, and straight bars used to just kill me.

My wife's family sent us clothing items from France. All of my clothes came from Celio. My wife also received a new brown leather purse which is good because her old one is worn. They also sent her some sort of French perfume that she likes & me a bottle of Diesel cologne.

In the end, it was a great Christmas. We had a wonderful time with my immediate family for dinner on the 24th, with my extended family for lunch on the 25th & with some friends of ours for drinks, dinner & board games on the 25th as well. I hope that everyone else had a wonderful Christmas as well.
