How do I uninstall Service Pack 2?

I wish I'd never installed this piece of crap. It slows down my computer and kills my favorite games (Half-Life and its counterparts, Morrowind).

Up until installing SP2, it worked fine. Now it randomly crashes -- often in the middle of combat.

Have you tried disabling the windows firewall? That alleviates a lot of the problems...since that firewall causes a lot of them. Its turned on automatically when you install SP2.

I put it on 9 identical configs that I rolled out recently and it seems to be working fine so far. But the firewall is off and those PCs only run fairly simple business apps.

The firewall wasn't on for me when I installed SP2. But I've now disabled that service thus it won't start up now.

I still see no point in installing SP2 other than the fact it supposedly makes wireless networking easier... which wasnt all that hard for me if i had just known that i typed in my WEP key wrong... *sigh*

My uninstallation of SP2 ended in disaster. The uninstaller crashed, leaving my computer in a mess... well read my thread. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

I've had no problems to date with SP2, but I've not tried doing anything taxing with my PC recently.

That's weird. SP1 gave me many problems, but after I got XP Pro with SP1, it has been fine, and SP2 has been giving me no problems at all.
