[TECH] Corsair 300 TW Laser will not fire?

Okay, So last week I bought a new set of lasers for my GS Alaska Light Freighter, because of the increased danger of hyping outside the green zone. Install went okay, all the cords connected with my GA 300S Fusion Generator (Which I recommend for all of you who need a little more umph then a basic fission generator, but don't have the cash to go all out.), and the main computer registers it all as okay. However when I went into the asteroids to do some target shooting, it wouldn't fire. The computer registers that a shot has been fired, and there has been a drain on the reactor, but no light and no exploding asteroids :psyduck:. I think it could be a problem with the focusing diodes on the laser itself, but I have no experience in this matter.
Should I just RMA it? I could probably make the trip to Corsairs saturn space yards in a couple days hyper (I'm posting from beta centauri btw, got family here). Speaking of lasers, I have a friend looking for high-end stuff, got any experience with Reticulan lasers anyone?

Actually in reverse, someone in that thread copied this. He must have been browsing Massassi the very minute I posted. HE COULD BE READING THIS RIGHT NOW :tinfoil:

I had this same problem. You need to recalibrate the focusing coils. Use the calibration utilities on the disc that came with it, since the windows 12 calibration wizard doesn't work properly on those kinds of lasers. Its got something to do with the focusing array servos.

Not sure about Reticulan lasers. I would suggest investing in a General Electric industrial lasers. But if its for combat situations, I would suggest Westinghouse.

This reminds me, I've been experiencing lower horsepower output on my Corvega Atomic V-8. I've tried changing out the fusion power cells. What's the deal? After spending $199,999 on it, I don't want to spend any more on taking it to a garage. Seriously.
I can't wait for the day schools get the money they need, and the military has to hold bake sales to afford bombs.

That worked! Thanks man, I'm off to blow away the nearest asteroid I can find.

I really don't understand Tibby's motivation in his stupid posts. Does he think they're cute and funny? They're not. They're not clever, either, especially when any post with any semblance of cleverness was really just stolen from Something Awful.

So I tried to bring a lighthearted thread over from SA over here, thinking we could all get along and have some fun.
Guess not, you over critical jackasses.
This thread is a collection of cynics and jerks who are looking to add a little bit to their e-peen by derailing something lighthearted, circle jerking around to what little problems they can find.

If I wanted to do that, there are far better places than here.

No your right, it's just the 3 idiots who have strange internet vendettas that brought it down.
Good going guys, we could have had a fun thread here.
Can someone please close this? It's turned into a pile of ****.

Well tibby, I suppose it's because you copied it from SA and a bunch of Massassians go there and then they're reminded of those SF_GoldG_01 incidents where he just copies things...then again, there's some guy called Xerox out there who made a successful career out of it.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

I didn't copy anything, I tried to start a commonly done SA forum game here.

Ahh massassi. Half spam, half bickering about spam.
2009-12-30, 8:31 PM #23

If you like SA so damn much and hold them to such high regard, then GO to and stay at SA.

Oh.

Well at any rate, tibby, if you're ever in Helsinki, buzz me and we'll go for an alcoholic beverage of your choice, and it's on me as long as it's not like, the bottled tears of a prophet who died some two-thousand years ago mixed into a fine red wine that is solely fermented by an elderly nomad currently living in the French Alps where the special sort of grapes required only exist once every five hundred years, because I probably won't be able to afford it.
