get stylexp from http://www.tgtsoft.com/ and then get themes from themexp as yoshi said. windowblinds slows your machine down while stylexp uses the built in windows xp skin engine.

Some windowblinds themes slow you down, yeah, but others are quicker than the standard windows classic theme!

If you plumb for windowblinds look up (from wincustomize.com) these groovy styles...

Gloss
Ice
Kewk-HoE
Mini-OS
Opulence
Vectorcell

They're all quick, slick and secksy.

StyleXP stops working after it's trial period.
Windowblinds continues working after it's trial period.

I've tried both. Guess which one I use. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

Any questions?

[Edit: I used to use Copper Deck 2... cool theme, eww colors. I'm working on modifying it into "Indigo Deck 2", a great improvement, although the TGA files Irfanview outputs aren't liked by Windowblinds/ -.-

For StyleXP I used a theme with Royal or Purple or something in the name, can't remember. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

Currently I use a theme for WB called Longhorn 45?? (numbars, referring to a build). Looks a little like it, as far as Windows XP can be expected to look like it, and it has nice slim titlebars. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]]

I've just got paid, I may actually buy object desktop (includes windowblinds). I'm a student.

That's how much I like windowblinds

I've seriously considered buying the whole Object-thingy Suite (includes windowblinds, and lonly $10 more than windowblinds).

I'm gonna order it soon, but I imagine it'll have to be shipped from the US...

...btw I flick between Kewk-HoE (VERY slim taskbars etc) and vectorcell and opulence mainly, though I've been dabbling with both gloss and [can't remember, will fix later!] recently!

I seriously suggest trying blaze 2. Google it. It used to be at themexp.org but I can't find it now [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

It's so awesome.

Yeah I cannot believe that uxtheme.dll needs to be hacked for us to use themes. Let's hear it for Microsoft! -_-

That hack never worked for me, even though I supposedly had the right version.

Make SURE you have the right version. I had to try two or three before mine worked okay.
