Trackpads are far less annoying than the nub. You can move the mouse far more quickly and with more accuracy than you can with a nub. Plus, no gestures.

I hate it that some newer laptops are putting the Fn on the far left instead of control. Friggin screws me up.

Thinkpads have had Fn to the left of Ctrl since like the dawn of time, although I think the newer models have a BIOS option to switch the two

the w500 doesn't have an option to switch fn and control, but I don't really mind.

I couldn't disagree more. I can't stand continually picking up and moving my finger for the trackpad. With the clit, it just stays in place. When you get good at it, it's the best thing ever.
