Well, it appears to be slow. It looks like it's only going about 4% an hour. Which is crap. It's taking forever to dl UT3, topping out about 82 KB/s. :saddowns:

I don't remember it going this slow, but maybe I haven't downloaded such a big file either. I thought the Half-life stuff was pretty big.

Anybody else notice a speed difference? Maybe they're just getting hammered from the sale?

I downloaded TF2 last night (yay me!) and it was rocking along at about 210kb/s.

Which was probably limited by my terrible broadband.

Yeah I think their servers are being hammered from all the sales. It took a while to get Mass Effect for me.

I guess that CM is right, but I downloaded L4D2 the other night and it was flying along at 1.2mb/s.

It's definitely the sale. I can get 6 MB/s down on a good day from Steam, but I was only getting a couple hundred kB/s a couple days ago when I was downloading Jade Empire.

Well duh, everything is on sale and the servers are getting hit hard.

Getting over 100kb/s is a good day for me.

I live in Edmonton, I have a basic high speed uplink.
I get a meg a second.
