Just a note: Don't ever go to DisneyLand on New Year's Eve. It's a nightmare because it's so crowded you literally can't walk. Other than that, I had a great vacation with my family. We fed and petted sting rays at SeaWorld, saw dozens of giraffes up close at the San Diego Wild Animal Park, and went on a bunch of cool rides at DisneyLand and California Adventures. Also I got to check out my uncle's sail boat (custom made for him a couple of years ago), although we didn't go anywhere on it. I need a vacation from my vacation, though, we're all tired as ... well something really tired.

tired as a sleepy panda? you were litterally about 3 blocks from my house.
Welcome to the douchebag club. We'd give you some cookies, but some douche ate all of them. -Rob

Oh, another thing I forgot to mention. We spent two nights at this place called the Barona which is an Indian casino somewhat near San Diego. While we were there, this happened:

http://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local-beat/Deputies-Called-to-Casino-After-Shooting-80278997.html

We were checking out a bit after 10:00 and as we were leaving (driving away from the place), literally we saw a dozen police cars racing towards the place. Glad we weren't directly affected but I feel for the victim :( I don't understand why when something "bad" happens to some people they can't just move on, instead they have to go on a shooting rampage.

If you went to San Diego and didn't see Dalf he might not speak to you.

Also, yay, I love San Diego.

EDIT, not yay for the shooting. That is sad. :(

Ok Ok next time I come, I'll leave an extra day w/nothing to do so we can all get together. It will be w/in one year probably.

Oh also, we went to Medieval Times. It rocked, and my 3-yr old son loved it (more than DisneyLand).

If you went through Vegas you were not far from where I live.

Nope, straight from Seattle to San Diego, then from LAX to SEA on the way home.

Don't go to Disney Land at all. It's a pathetic shell of a park compared to Disney World in Florida.

Glad you still had fun otherwise though :P

I hate Disneyland.

So you drove there and flew back? You probably took 5 all the way down through CA, and therefore would not have passed through my Bay Area,

When the **** were you in my town???

Martyn's right! I'm sad! :(

Also, I remember hearing the shooting as well. Sad times. :smith:

Don't worry, I'm coming to your house and we're going to watch movies on the big screen.

Everyone loves San Diego.

Just don't live here, please? In fact, everyone out. Out of the pool. Out. OUT! Stop clogging our freeways and jacking up our prices. You can take the city council though and their pension mess, though. F'in n00bs.

I'll visit when I get a chance though. I like the sandcastle competition at Imperial Beach, and the frozen yoghurt at Coronado Bay if you're wondering what we can do BEFORE WE DRINK OURSELVES TO DEATH.

Did you eat at In-N-Out?

Nope, we did try a taco bell though. My freaky veggie ex made me eat BRCs. I was not happy.

No, we flew both ways, I just forgot the airport code for San Diego. I did get a kick out of the San Diego airport, it was disturbingly close to the city. Really cool. In Seattle and LAX, the airports are far away from the major "downtown" areas.

Also, what's with all the DisneyLand hating? I've enjoyed it every time (except New Year's Eve, but that was the last day of a 3-day hopper).

Then your trip to California has been for naught.
