A fun, badass movie that I would give a 7.5/10. Watching Denzel dismembers people with his machete didn't get old at all. Oh and it was nice seeing Gary Oldman return back to his villain days considering he's damn good at it. Yet despite what the trailer shows you, the movie actually doesn't contain that many action sequences you think. The script wasn't anything spectacular, but it was fine for what it was.
By the way, Book of Eli kind of feels like Leon to an extent.
Oldman's character acts (fantastically if I might add) and enunciates like Stan a bit. Meanwhile, Eli and Solara's relationship are akin to the one between Leon and Mathilda.
Oh and the plot twist is cool, Eli is basically like a religious version of Zatoichi.
