And I felt the need to share.

How's this for stress relief:

(1) Sneak up behind tank driver, CONSUME him, steal his tank, go on rampage.
(2) Run out of ammo, get out of tank, deploy my funky shield and go pedestrian bowling!
(3) Find myself surrounded by army personnel so shove my CLAWS into the ground, and watch 10 foot spikes come out of the ground and impale my foes.

I was having a great laugh!

nothing like being surrounded by soldiers and tanks and unleashing a devastator attack nothing like tendrils from your *** instakilling a tank

I've only played it for a couple of hours so far. I am going to enjoy this.

I still need to pick that up at some point, but I have Uncharted 2 to play through first.
nope.

I got it for a couple of quid when I took a wodge of games to trade in. It was going for about 20 quid. Might be worth a rent first, I hear it gets repetitive ... Not that I care about that when I'm tearing up a city mainly for my own amusement :v:

For me it took finishing the game before it got repetitive, by then I had finished all of the side missions and screwed around a hell of a lot.
I even enjoyed mindless jumping from building to building, did that for a good ten minutes once before I remembered I was in the middle of a mission.

It is loads of fun. After I beat it, it lost its appeal, but it was worth playing through.
obviously you've never been able to harness the power of cleavage...

it gets no more repetitive than a GTA game... if it starts to feel repetitive you do like in GTA... say to hell with the story just go and make your own fun

I strongly disagree, I wouldn't be surprised that if you took all my GTA:SA hours and lumped them together you'd have an entire month. Prototype doesn't even come close.

Its like GTA with superpowers. They're my games whenever I need to take out anger by going on a rampage. Devastator attacks are sometimes better than running over people with a car in GTA.

I played it for the first time Friday. I'd heard it compared to inFamous before that, but this is so much fun due to OH GOD GIANT SPIKES EXPLODING FROM THE GROUND EVERYONE IS DEAD THIS IS NEAT.

And I've only played the first level.

Pretty much what I think there :awesome:

Prototype is to inFamous what Mario Kart is to Gran Turismo

When I saw ads for inFamous I thought "this is literally the first time I've been gutted that a game is PS3 exclusive".

Now if it's more realistic/grumpy than Prototype I feel muuuuch better.

Sometimes I forget you're British. Then I get slapped silly by sentences like this one.

Sure is. I wrote a review for it back in the day for GL even. :D

BTW, GL is gonna be closing down, so if you guys know any markets that are willing to pay (!!!) for video game reviews, it'd be very much appreciated. GL guys didn't pay me, btw, I was writing those for practice. :)

I think PROTOTYPE is a lot like inFAMOUS, or at least it would seem that way. inFAMOUS was fun except for the fact that every enemy in that game shoots you with dead on accuracy from miles away with a simple AK-47. I know, he's a lightening throwing freak experiment, and I shouldn't be asking for any realism in the game... but it gets annoying!
