So this is one of the busiest Hurricane season's I have ever seen in FL and I've lived here 16 years.

Apparently Hurricane Francis is going to hit us AGAIN, after most people haven't even recovered from Charley. This sucks.

I have friends in the cocoa beach area (back where I used to live) probably coming up here to stay with us (although we are going to get hurricane winds in central florida as well). At least it should be better then the winds they are getting.

I think they are saying it's possible it can gain force to a 5. So it might cause lots of damage. Also it's moving slower then Charley which is bad news. Charley didn't cause too bad of damage because it was moving quickly. The slower it moves the longer it dwells, the more damage it will cause.

And to top it all off, most of the electricity lines are just temporary fixes, so this could be really bad. And some people just finished fixing their houses or are still in the process of working on it.

Damn this is just sucky news. Time for everyone to get their Hurricane kits out. Batteries, board the windows, water, lots of premade ice for when the electricity goes out. etc etc

Hm this is just no fun :\

I'm not sure what to do. But maybe, i'm considering it right now. I think it'd be fun to see another state and live there for a while. I've been in Fl too long

I was going to head up that way. I have family there. I'm in Orlando by OIA. Yeah I heard it's been pretty busy at the stores, my parents were out buying some supplies and food and they were saying everything is sold out.

I've lived in FL 16 years, and I have never seen it this bad. I normally pass through the hurricanes with small flooding and maybe a few trees down. But this hurricane season seems like we keep getting hit. It's been 50 years or so they said since there has ever been back to back hurricanes like this. Unfortunately this one is pretty big and moving slowly so it will probably cause more damage. Well we are prepared hopefully noone will get hurt

It's not even made land fall yet, and it's a 2.... it'll probably only be a tropical storm by the time it gets to us in Orlando.... I can handle 40-50 mph winds (as of midnight friday on the weather channel)

yeah it's estimated now that we will get 60-70 mph winds, and again for about 6 hours or longer. O well. This time I see people in my neighborhood, with boarded windows. Last time noone did and this time I dont see a house without it.

Plus a couple of streets down they have already lost power. I guess since the fix last time was temp. but yeah there are already people without power
