That is all there is to it. The Emmy Award for outstanding journalism is now yours, Anderson Cooper. You are badass.

There are times when reporters should step in and contribute to events.

This looked like one of those times to me.

Guess Anderson got tired of being cooped up in the studio.

I guess he couldn't deal a coop de grĂ¢ce with the camera rolling, so he just saved him instead.

It's a sad state of affairs if they are giving Emmys for simply doing the right thing.

He should've gotten the Nobel. Seems like a nice paperweight these days.

You lock up Emmy Awards by always getting the early scoop.

In all reality... Anderson Cooper has more Emmy Awards than pretty much anyone else on the planet because he's the only person working in news today that actually understands what journalism is.

I'm proud of my life and the things that I have done, proud of myself and the loner I've become.

Never heard of this man before, but I agree with Emon - it's generally sad that what should be considered absolutely normal human behaviour is considered an act of heroism. It's not exactly like this guy took a bullet for the boy, he just did what any decent person would have.

Heh, all this time I thought QFBWIWGTS was Quoted For something Which I Want God To Smite...I think someone probably joked about it meaning that in the past here at the Temple.

Also, at first I thought Tibby's quip made no sense at all, but then I got it!
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.
