So, how many are getting this game? I'm going to pre-purchase on steam here before too long.
obviously you've never been able to harness the power of cleavage...

I'm not able to get it because my country sucks and AVP doesn't want to baby their game for us. Which I am 100% behind.

Yes, there are many worse places to live....
But people are still entitled to ***** about their problems =p
Besides, that was more of a "good on AVP for not dumbing itself down for our crappy laws" post.

Deadman... if you live in Australia, the verdict was reversed and they decided to allow a 15+ year old rating.

Oh, cool! I haven't been keeping up on the gaming news it seems. That's great! I hope that's merely the beginning.

Yea so do I. I saw how butchered L4D 2 got. I really hope the nonsense stops and the Australian rating board allows adults to think for themselves.

Oh absolutely, I'm certainly not going to buy our version of L4D2.

Also, thanks much for the link, finally got a gaming news RSS now ;)

I was going to get it for the Xbox 360 but I'm probably going to sell that (I have an older version that doesn't have built-in HDMI support & I'm not paying $90 for a ****ing cable) & get it for the PC (I'll have to play it on my Mac). I loved AvP 1 & 2 & this one looks to be really good as well. I hope it has a strong multi-player game because that's why I'm buying it.
? :)

Why not just order from abroad?

I really liked AVP2, so I'm quite exited about this.

I just hope that the PC version is not a bad console port.

It'd have to be pretty damn awesome to make the postage and currency difference worth it.

I like how they updated and released the last one steam too.

I've been waiting for this for years....

I'm very glad that AvP (1999) was released on Steam, as well.

Oh, this is new AvP? I'll most definitely get it as soon as I can.

The thing I worry about in the new AvP game is that the studio, Rebellion, hasn't made a decent game that I know of so far. In fact, the devs made one of the worst games this year, Rogue Warrior.

Although, if they screwed up a new title in the highly-acclaimed AvP series, especially with so much backing and hype riding on it, it would be a death blow. So I assume they couldn't just fudge it and get away.

They made the original Alien Vs Predator, both the Jaguar and the PC versions.

****, I thought it was a different company. Well then, no need to necessarily worry.

Well those two AvP games are about the only good things they've made. Everything else is ****ty or even ****tier off-console adaptions of other games.

Luckily, most of the team from the '99 version has worked on it... and even though it shares the same engine as rogue warrior (notice how I don't even cap that), the Azure engine, it will not be as bad. How do I know this? I just do. It's Aliens vs Predator. If it were any other shooter with any other archetypes, it'd fail. People love AvP. This will be awesome.... even the selective 'place-mats' for jumping space seem okay for predator's world.

Well, Rebellion claims they weren't under pressure for this. My guess is that this game is what the company wants to be remembered for.

And on the other end, Free Radical will be remember for Haze.
Not Timesplitters...

Waiting to pick it up on gamefly. Already got enough games on hand to last me through BIOSHOCK. (Darksiders, Dragon Age, Bayonetta, ME2)
