Conan gets $45m to leave Tonight.

Well, good for him. $33m to Conan, $12m to the staff. I think they deserve it for what they got. Moved across the country, to be booted in 8 months.

Even though NBC is binding Conan until October (per some contract), I wonder where he will go after that.

Supposedly FOX has decided they aren't interested in him now, even though a few years ago they offered to TRIPLE his salary to do a show for them.

NBC is becoming the new Fox. Killing things that are good. Top Gear USA? We're too dumb to understand it. Conan? **** that guy!

The only good shows they have are 30 Rock and Community. Everything else is utter garbage

Yeah, and Community was a 'risk' to them. McHale is a genius.

NBC owns the USA network, which brought us such great shows as...

BURN NOTICE. NEW EPISODES STARTING TONIGHT. OH MY GOD.
TAKES HINTS JUST FINE, STILL DOESN'T CARE

If you weren't a tool you would realize that Top Gear is more than just a car show.

It's political satire, comedy, talk show, and adventure all rolled in to one.

Those two things are not mutually exclusive.

MB deserves a hard time for not listing The Office. And also for being fat.

The Office has gone downhill so hard. It was a great show, and a huge gamble for NBC, especially as a mid-season replacement, but the last season has been so mediocre.

Everything about NBC has gone downhill. Even my beloved Heroes, which is probably in its death throes right now. Everything occasionally has a burst of hope crushed by a storm of ****.

Heroes hasn't been good since Season 1 - but there are some very good episodes within some otherwise terrible seasons. What I love about Top Gear is they aren't afraid to badmouth a car - can't see that happening in a US version without NBC going ape**** about losing advertisers.

Apparently they had worked out a deal with advertisers to try to keep that in tact.

BUT WE'LL NEVER KNOW BECAUSE NOW THERES NO TOP GEAR USA.

I loved the Top Gear where they covered the ZR1 Vette. "Way to go fat man... you've made an amazing automobile!"

The second part of season 3 was pretty good. But I still stopped watching 2 episodes into the current.

Great episode.

I have to agree with the rest of you, Top Gear, is the greatest.

I think my favorite ep was the one where they took motorcycles through vietnam. Classic.

All the travel specials have been great. Botswana, Bolivia, America, North Pole. All fantastic.

Jeremy and James were in a Toyota Hilux, racing Richard on a sled pulled by huskies. It was a good special (well, they all are), especially the bits with the extreme weather training and Ranulph Fiennes.

It actually wasn't. My old man owns all the Friends, Office (US and British), Arrested Development, Seinfield, Lost, Everybody Loves Raymond seasons that have been released to DVD.

I actually haven't pirated anything (including music) in quite a few years now. Amazing, considering I used to get everything from websites. Hell I never even bought Jedi Knight. XD

Disagree. I think its still going strong compared to most shows out there, current and past.

I preferred the ethos of the British version: "kill it before it goes downhill". Not that Steve Carrel isn't brilliant and I want his babies and that.

I wasn't accusing you or anything, just saying what I'd do.

I pirate stuff all the time, stuff I don't even want. I pirate it, delete it, then pirate it again for the hell of it.

The british version's peak doesnt even touch the bottom of the American version.

I'll take the worst American episode over the best Brit episode anyday.
