I just restarted my character (Aiden)because I think I ****ed up my spec along the way to the point where I don't even want to use the re-spec mod to fix it lol... So for my second character, I started out as a mage, and let me just say WOW... im just owning left and right, taking on 3 dark spawns at once with no sweat!

I'm playing this on hard mode like I did for my other character, but I find that the mage class is WAY easier to play. What do you guys think, or is it just because I ****ed up my spec for Aiden?

Oh, and im sitting at level 6 right now.

I still can't even make it out of the castle, and I blazed though KOTOR.

Mages are overpowered. Which, quite frankly, they should be given the setting. There's a reason the Chantry keeps your asses sequestered in a tower, far away from everyone else.

So no, it's not just because your ****ed up your spec for Aiden. I'm not saying that's not part of it, though; I'd have to know what class you played and how you leveled to really know whether you ****ed up and how badly.

Fact is with mages is there are many ways you can go and still be very kickass. Where as most other classes (or so I'm told) you have to plan well to get anywhere.
Personally I ended up with blood magic and HOLY CRAP. I also concentrated on AOE's that only affected the enemy (I played on hard so friendly fire was a big danger).

I found my mage to be mostly worthless until I became an Arcane Warrior. Most of my spells were useless. I didn't have enough crowd control.
