This. Boo for me it's not so much of an issue lately .. :(

That and I'm a sleep-groper... which pisses some chicks off a lot.

Of course I've also woken up in mid coitus, so I guess it doesn't piss off some chicks.

Yeah thats sad what happened to vegie, from what I heard and going back to what stat said is accurate and true, I've been on a fitness routine now for 2 years and I have been learning from sources as books, Internet, learning from trainers and other Body Builders. The best diet to stay with is to have 6 to 8 small meals a day eating high protein and good carbs with a low glycemic index. Going to long without a meal during physical exertion is known as catabolicism which is the opposite of anabolic, which is what stat said is where valuable muscle tissue will be consumed instead of fat. I learned that when you eat in small increments that your body will boost your metabolism which in effect burns more calories in a period of time. Sometime I'll start a fitness thread

You completely misread what I wrote and instead more or less repeated Temperamental's exercise psuedo-science. Your body isn't going to start cannibalizing its muscle tissue until there is almost no fat left. That's only the case in long-term starvation or extreme anorexia nervosa.

There is a definite advantage to eating small meals throughout the day but it's less to with staving off some sort of famine response and more with keeping blood sugar and hormone levels consistent in the body.

I don't want to tell anyone that they're doing their fitness wrong. I'm sure both you and Temperamental are doing well and seeing good results. But there is a lot of bad advice out there, built on flimsy science, and a person should be skeptical about anything that seems to negate what they learned in basic biology.

Good morning everyone! It's 4:08 AM and it's time once again for The Insomniac's Thread! Today's insomnia is brought to you by: Overactive Mind. When a calm, collected psyche is not good enough for you, try Overactive Mind. It will sure to keep you up at night with baseless worrying and other thoughts. And also by, Roommates. If you want people who insist on constantly walking on the hardwood floor next to your bedroom at all hours of the night, try Roommates.
