Fahrenheit might technically be more precise due to the smaller degrees, but given the all the factors other than air temperature (wind, sun, etc) that determine whether one feels "cold" at a given time, I don't think that level of precision is particularly useful. Applications where precision is necessary would probably use decimal points even if they used Fahrenheit.
