What...
What possible market does this appeal to?

You know what would be better than a watch that makes your gun able to fire? A watch that makes guns pointed at you unable to fire. Maybe they should build that instead.

Maybe they shouldn't publicize what the watch's purpose is.. seems self-defeating.

My thoughts is, it's purpose is that of if an officer's gun gets taken, the person can't kill them with it.... however, smarter people can just jam the signals...

I guess there really arent that many smart people who get cops to point guns at them though.

Scenario : You're a hostage. A cop is shot, and drops his gun. You grab the gun, you're looking right at the bad guy's back, not but three feet away...

Personally, this technology would have to be pretty damn well proven for me to even consider it viable. It's really only appropriate for police officers, as well.

Does the watch also prevent the offending criminal from beating the user into submission/death with it?

That's like the thumbprint sensor on the guns in Shoot Em Up. That's right, you designed a device that is a lame ripoff of something that's in the (intentionally) dumbest action movie ever made.

Didn't Metal Gear Solid have a similar thing?
