The imagery you are about to view offers a sneak peek into my real-world apartment of residence. Note that due to lighting conditions and the poor integrated flash function of a pocket camera, the images will appear rather dark, so I ask you to calibrate your eyes accordingly...it should not be an issue if you've just played some of FGR's levels, for instance. The purpose of this thread is to remind you all that Finland is still out there and inhabited, wintry cold and formerly under Soviet rule.

That's a pretty good query there, Antony, I didn't really even take it into consideration! I will call it an update of sorts over some photos that I posted years ago when I lived in a padded room, so to speak.

Your TV is smallish, something that would be less noticable if it wasnt wallmounted. I'm guessing you dont watch alot of TV.

Yes, well that one is 32", and I do most of my TV watching in my bedroom whose TV has the same size screen but the distance from it is smaller so it's alright.

As the Internet Ambassador for Finland, I'd like to point out that Krokodile's apartment looks like a very typical vaguely modern rural Finnish house even though he actually lives in our capital (that's like a small city on an American scale anyway). The white walls remind us of snow, as does looking out of the window and floorboards like that remind us that seventy billion Russians died in the Great Patriotic War so we could have igloo-inducing houses with wooden floors. All hail Brak!

While it is a bit sparse, I think what it's really missing is color. Waaay too much white.

When I walk the streets of Finland, can you guess what color dominates my eyes?

That's right.

White.

I like the rooms, but everything that looks like a chair, also looks like it would destroy a spine in less than an hour of use.

Legends tell that Finland was born when a pochard laid its eggs on some drunk shiksa's knee, but all of a sudden snow got inside her nose, causing her to sneeze and break the eggs on the landscape of our Earth. The mixture of snow, snot and the broken eggs formed Finland, causing a certain bear to wake up from its hibernation...

Well you see Antony, I have stashed most of said stuff in my room and its closets, and some though not much in my parents' house. Furthermore, you see, I share this residence with a person who is weird in a way that I would probably not feel comfortable him having access to all of my stuff.

You are of course referring to the verokarhu.

Well, I was referring to Russia (us Finländare seem to have a beef to pick with them) and I forgot the existence of the double-headed eagle at the time.

Consider this a request to see the bathroom &/or toilet (I'm not sure if they're separate like in France).
? :)

Well there's a room with just a toilet and a sink and then there's a bathroom which has a toilet as well as a shower.

Actually, it's only a full bath if it has a tub and shower. :eng101:

Compared to my future living place, that place is ****ing huge! My room is going to be roughly 4 meters by 4 meters... I kind of like the place, simple, habitable... But where do you sleep? :awesome:

That's how it is here as well. When I was in France, no one had a toilet in their bathroom. They always had a separate room with just a toilet & a sink. They had those 2 button flushers (1 for piss & 1 for ****) & the water was typically so low that everyone in the house could hear you dropping bombs. It was rather awkward when I got sick. The best were the Turkish toilets though. The public toilets are all a mess so it was quite common to see people pissing in the streets but 10x more common when all of the Irish people came to visit for the France versus Ireland football/soccer game. They could've formed their own fire station to put out all of the fires started by the Algerians.
