If you were forced to eat one or the other, which would it be?

Voted Wavy Lay's, but don't really care since they are both crap chips anyway.

I never even have heard of Wavy Lay's, so I voted for Ruffles. Not a big fan of chips..

2010-01-30, 12:08 PM #7
Baked Lays are the best chip. Nothing else compares.

I've noticed that opening a new bag of Wavy Lays reveals an odor quite similar to butt. The smell goes away once the bag is opened. Makes me wonder if they are inflating the bags with methane or something. Chips still taste fantastic though (and by fantastic, I mean don't taste like the initial butt smell).

The best chips are Miss Vickie's jalapeno chips. They are amazing.

Who cares? They are exactly the same.

All variety of Husman's chips are the best. Unfortunately, if you don't live in the Cincinnati area (from Dayton to Lexington) you don't get them.

Ruffles are best of those two though.

Like saying Coke and Pepsi are the same. Both have distinct tastes.

What? They are just different shapes. Or are you one of those "it's the texture" people?

Coke and Pepsi have very different formulas (Except that New Coke is exactly the same as Pepsi.)

Ruffles and Lays have the same formula. POTATOES + HOT OIL.
2010-01-30, 5:14 PM #24
Different amounts of salt and/or time in hot oil.
Ruffles bros.

Where the "never tried/heard-of either of them" option? :p

Maybe the option should say, "Never been outside before" for you

There is a distinct lack of Utz in this poll

I used to like Ruffles, but after trying Wavy Lays, I'll never go back. They're thicker and not as greasy.

As far poll options, yeah I wanted you to have to pick one or the other, and not stuff like: "Wut? I'm not a Yank." "I only eat small biped mammals" and such.

On a side note; get really high and then eat cheddar and sour cream ruffles dipped in Publix seafood spread (or I guess any other cheesy crabby seafood spread for crackers).

:awesome:

I guess that's the same idea, but it seems a bit more odd.
