I was thinking the other day, what does everyone do here for work? (for those of you that DO have a job) post your job!

I work on an assembly line at a window factory, but because school is starting up I have to leave to get a part time job else where in a couple days.

I'm still in school, but I have a couple of jobs. I'm the house manager for the house I live in. I pay the bills, keep tabs on our budgets and such. I'm applying for a maintenance crew job at one of the coop's apartment facilities across campus. In the spring, I referee lacrosse games (best job ever)

Well, I work part time at the local grocery store, but my real income comes from the mowing business my dad and I have. We mow twenty yards regularly, most of them bring in $15-$30 for about forty five minutes to a couple hours of work.

First Job: Parente's Bar / Resturant
Age: 14
Position: Bar Back / Busboy
Work: Make sure the bar was always full of beer and ice, change empty kegs and full kegs, fill the walk in with beer every night, clean tables, collect dishes and give them to the dishwasher, make desserts, give customers bread and butter, and sometimes help the waitresses.
Reason for quitting: Waitresses were all snobby jerkoffs, always 'forgot' to tip me, when I got tipped it was only a dollar or so, and that was on a really good night (They'd say they had a bad night :/ Right, with all of Bryant College in the bar >.< ). The boss (really nice) but he wanted me to work till 2am, after I couldn't I lost my bar work which meant no $20 bar tender tip, which meant I was getting no tips. I was doing half the waitresses work, and even after I got off they took advantage of me being such a nice guy and new to the work force.
Anything Else: The Boss and Manager were both really awesome guys, really nice, they said I was the hardest working guy they'd ever seen. If I ever needed work just come back and they'd be glad to give me hours

Job: The Elks Club (Private club...but basically a bunch of old guys that get piss drunk every night at the bar. They also do parties, so I only work on days that they have parties. Or on fridays which is the one day a week anyone can come in to eat.)
Age: 15
Position: Dish b*tch [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]
Work: Check for dishes, change empty kegs and full kegs (I rarley do it, but if the bartender is busy they ask me because they know I can from my previous job), Clean dishes and pans.
Anything Else: The job rocks, because my friends father owns the place, so all of my fellow employees are close friends. On days with parties we get there at 10 am even if the people don't eat till 3pm. So from 10am-4pm it's pretty much sit around, drink coke, spray each other with the scolding hot water hose 0_o, and sometimes a pan or two comes our way from the cooks. (But it really gets going at like 4pm - 12pm, we need to clear all the pans and dishes and such from the party clean all that, clean basically everything in the kitchen, do the trash etc.) Also being a dishguy is so much more relaxing for me then being a buskid, because I am in the back, so I can act however I want, and I don't need to run around from table to table. I just stand there and wash dishes.

Quit my job at the supermarket on Wednesday, after 7 long years. Talking to the cute 16-year staff members is no longer weighing up against the actual work I have to do.

Friend has a job lined up for me at a data entry place. Yeah it's crap, but I'll listen to music and type a few things for $17 an hour.

Same, Cazor. I worked at mcdonalds last spring-summer, until I was able to build my new computer. Now I work at Target on the sales floor. It blows but I just keep reminding myself I'm just in it for the paycheck [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]
Plus the intern manager is damn fine [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

I also work for my high school, as a lighting/sound tech for plays, concerts, ect.

Nice XD

But yeah I need to find a data-entry place. Get my music, and just get to typing. Hell if there's one thing I can do for hours on end, it's type. And for the money they pay you...yeah.

And end up in a dead-end job that goes nowhere and will bore you out of your mind.

I don't know anyone who does that kind of work for an extended period of time that isn't miserable.
