Yep :).
That was the most blantantly obvious reference. There's a few others too, but I can't remember them offhand.

When the mysterious chick first talks to you, giving you your first quest, she tells you "Would you kindly go repair that claptrap"

I just discovered that my 4890 was massively restricted by my E5200, too. I was hitting framerates in the 20s/30s, and now I have yet to see anything below..56 or 57. It's usually hovering in the 60 range (yay vsync).

If you want Firefly references, play Halo 3 ODST.

In Borderlands, there's a secret achievement you can get by standing on a boat.

It's called "You're on a boat!" and the description says "I bet you never thought you'd be here."

Adam Baldwin is in Mass Effect 2, as well.

Has anyone else had questionable results with the anti aliasing in this game? Sometimes it looks great, others it looks well.. bad. I'm not sure if its the cell shading or the game itself. I've got AA maxed out on my drivers an in game. Card and processor can definitely handle it. Leaves me a bit confused.

To be honest I must have missed 90% of Borderlands references by being uncultured. Most of the ones I DID get were game-related anyway.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

THANK YOU... I couldn't figure out who he was for the life of me, and was too lazy to look it up.

The phrase a 'pound of flesh' from the Merchant of Venice is fairly ubiquitous phrase now, one doesn't have to be a Shakespearean scholar to recognise that one. It's one of those phrases many people use but have no idea where it originates from.

AA doesn't work in Borderlands, mostly because of the cell shading.

One should not use one with more then one definition in one paragraph as it may confuse one, what?

There are a TON of pop culture references in this game. It's pretty cool to try and catch them all.
