Well, Texas forced me to eat my words, we got 6+ inches of snow (most records here were broke), and I managed to get my car stuck less than a mile from my house. After I spent 30 minutes thawing it!! :argh::argh::argh::argh::argh::argh::argh::argh::argh::argh:

I think I was going about 10mph and just started to slide... no way to stop it... egh, should have just slept in.

Teehee, it's everywhere around the world I guess...

The problem is not the snow. It's the snow melting, and the water refreezing. I think I've faceplanted 3 times the last 2 months.

Global warming my ***.

Apparently they are arguing now that the current weather patterns are a result of global warming and only preclude the coming warming of the planet. Apparently the weather is being affected as well now (storms, earthquakes, etc)

I have no idea how this would work, but I don't believe it. Global Warming doesn't seem to be happening from my POV.

But LOL at you southerners not being able to deal with a little snow. Come up to Canada :)

We haven't had snow for at least a month in Boise. Sorta strange.

My county shut down the schools today for just the *threat* of an inch. We didn't get anything here on the coast, but the other side of I-10 got hit.

6" huh?, thats a normal snowfall when it does occur here in the desert where I live. Last year we had nearly had 10 inches for December and just recently 8 inches this month about 1000 ft higher elevation from where Im located. Thats why I drive a 4x4. yep damn that global warming!

About 65 degrees here today, mostly sunny with the occasional misty rain falling from random dark clouds. I cleaned out my car in short sleeves and sandals.

It's hard to tell if it's meant seriously, ironically, or if they are just ignorant.

Global warming causes more extreme weather at both ends of the spectrum (Not that this winter is actually extreme in any way...)

Looks like the forecast is calling for a Santa Ana

Fear not Easterners, though! The big dome of high pressure over the Great Basin will push storms into Canada-land. You won't be getting Nor'Easters.

I have no desire to engage you in discussion, either. But I would like to suggest that some people care passionately about global warming because it suggests that we're ruining the one known place in the universe that's hospitable to human life. That strikes some people as a big deal.

hey at least mankind is not detonating anymore nuclear devices anymore. That I think was detrimental to our enviroment for sure. I would for sure protest against the use of nukes. I think the world is not ruined yet.

I certainly wouldn't claim that 6 inches is a lot by anyone else's standards, but if you Minnesotans suddenly got, I dunno, 6 feet to your typical 3, or 12 to your typical 6, you'd certainly comment.

edit: this past week saw the largest snowfall in recorded history in my hometown. That's not nothing.

I look out the window and there's nothing but blue skies, green vegetation, and a nice cool spring afternoon.

It got up to 80 degrees today in the IE! The local mountains are covered Mt. San Gorgonio. Mt. San Jacinto. Mt. San Gabriel. It was quite pretty to look at.
