What did you think about it? I thought he laid into Kerry a lot.

Ouch...it was painful.

I don't know why my thread was closed. Possibly by a republican loving admin....anyway

The Vice-President was just giving his speech, and this one part just made me laugh.

He was saying how 5 days after Sadamm was captured (or something like that) Lybia gave it's nuclear weapons and plans to america. Then he went on to say how he doesn't want terrorist ever getting ahold of these plans, and they won't because all of the nuclear weapons, plans and chemicals are locked away in Oakbridge, Tennesee.

"We don't want terrorist with nuclear weapons!"

"The nuclear weapons are in Oakbridge Tenesee!"

The first half of his speech was kissing Bush's a** and telling how justified this war is, the second half was like "Kerry sucks"

I'm not really a democrat or republican, but some of these speeches make me wonder....

P.S. Why WAS my thread closed?

It was a double post. I saw two threads with the same title.

[EDIT] Yeah, it would help if I looked closely at both threads before talking about them. Just ignore me. :P

Didn't watch Cheney's speech. Sounds like I made a good decision.

I thought Cheney's speach was good, so was Zells. I think the convention will give Bush a good bump in the polls at the end. It's about time the republicans get out there and expose Kerry.

I was annoyed that the crowd kept yelling "FOUR MORE YEARS" after every other word, but when he was talking about improving state schools, something that really would be worth four more years, there was no response at all.

Also, I've been meaning to ask this, but I wasn't sure where, so I'll do it here.
We recieve limited coverage of the US election process, usually when there isn't any other news happening, and they tend to say that this will be a "close race". From what I've seen on this forum and others, it doesn't really look that way. Kerry really doesn't seem to be that strong of an opponent. Does he actually have a chance of winning? Is the "anybody but Bush" line going to win him the election?
