I posted a short film that I made last year for my schools 5-Day Film Festival, well now it's time for another 5-Day, and here is my entry.
We ended up winning a couple of awards, but keep in mind most of these films are just filled with in-jokes for all of us film-kids to laugh about. I feel that this movie has a nice balance of in-jokes and humor that other people can appreciate. The 12 minute cut of the movie will be done in a week or so, but until then here is the 8 minute cut for the screening.
Day 1: Go to a meeting in which we get a random Genre / Character / Two Lines of Dialog. Start planning a rough outline of the movie.
Day 2: Create a more solid story. Plan out our shots. Buy props and take out equipment.
Day 3: Film indoor scenes.
Day 4: Film outdoor scenes.
Day 5: Editing
Awards: 2nd Place, Audience Choice Award, Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction.
My job on the team this year was writer / sound design / post production.
(Go to the movies youtube page to view it in 720p and soon 1080p)
