i mean yeah sure he wasn't 100% in the right from what i'm reading (wrong seat and he was drunk) but he didn't do anything to deserve getting tazed

To be fair to the police, he is clearly a little bit of a crazy, and he can clearly fight pretty well.

The video of him beating that guy on the bus is awesome, though.

This isn't news. He's not a hero, he's not the new Bernie Goetz, he's not even some racist mercilessly beating a black guy. He's just some crazy old trashy guy who got in a fight with a slightly younger trashy guy on an Oakland bus. America is just projecting its tensions/prejudices on the situation.
