I'm doing a survey about Kijiji and Craigslist for a university project.

You don't actually need to register to post ads on either site, which is why the order of the sections doesn't seem to matter to me. (Registering just gives you some extra features)

What difficulties did you encounter with searching?
There were a lot of "false advertisers", adding long lists of keywords to the bottom of their ad that had nothing to with the ad itself, only there to gain hits.

trying to avoid getting scammed on VINTAGE FENDER STRATOCASTER etc. Also some people are total flakes when it comes to finding jam sessions and there are jerks who are trying to get musicians to play their bars for no money or pay to play.

Craigslist would not (at the time) let me embed my own images and I had to upload the images to Craigslist, where they got small and too compressed

Never even heard of Kijiji before now. I have browsed Craigslist looking for job opportunities but nothing came of it.

Never posted any ads.

Never registered an account.

Searched? Not really. Used category sorting if that counts. I don't believe I responded to any ads.
