Jesus christ. The fact that it basically is sending waves all the way over to Hawaii potentially is just nuts.

First they had the Great Chilean Earthquake of 1960 (the worst in recorded history), then Henry Kissinger & now this. These poor folks just can't catch a break. My wife & I have been thinking about visiting Argentina & Chile. She has a friend in Argentina. The food is supposed to be great.

It was said that this recent quake was registered 900x stronger than the one in Haiti, but most of the tall buildings in Concepcion and Santiago are still standing. They have structured their buildings to Earthquake building codes like California and Japan does, but still I feel sorry for the poor bastards. I know what an earthquake feels like. :omg:

Edit: I reside around a few potential Fault lines called the Wasatch, Hurricane, and the Milford/Delta fault lines in Southern Utah.

There was also a 6.9 magnitude earthquake in Japan and 4.4 in Oklahoma.
