Using Chrome and it also happens on firefox:

Only on certain threads it seems, but I haven't been keeping track enough to know. I usually refresh the page and then click stop so it doesn't load fully and looks more normal.

I have no idea. I get that a lot too. I use Chrome exclusively, and I would love to understand it. The weird part is that it's random, if it were happening consistently I would just chalk it up to bad code. As it is...*shrug*

Oddly enough, it happened to me while reading that same thread.

I only see it in threads which have been visited by The Lock.
2010-03-02, 11:25 PM #4
Like that one.

I've never seen it happen in Chrome nor Firefox here, and even checked a locked thread just now, no issue.

In any case, I'm not really pressed to fix minor theme issues on this right now, as I'm redoing the whole bloody thing anyway.

I saw it a while ago, but not at all lately.

I'm on Firefox 3.6, if that helps.

It's because CoolMatty hasn't gotten around to fixing it. :psyduck:

I told him about it a while ago and even then he already knew about it.

Yeah, I only see it in locked threads too.
The proscription thread for instance

It's pretty odd how it only happens to some of you. It also makes it near impossible to fix.

Try changing text alignment with CSS.

It happens to me in Safari 4.0.4. However, I rarely bother reading locked threads so I don't really care.
? :)

I do not see this in Firefox or IE.

The problem is with the template. When the "Reply with Quote" or "Quick Reply" icons and links are gone (because the thread is locked) it creates an empty container which I guess Chrome has a problem with. It's by this comment <!-- post count and stuff on the right side -->

Been using Chrome since it came out, but I don't see that at all - and don't think I ever have. I went through and checked with other themes on too... nada.

Maybe OS makes a difference? Vista 64bit here...

However, searches that return locked threads seem to have table issues.
