A desperate disease requires a dangerous remedy.

A major source of objection to a free economy is precisely that it gives people what they want instead of what a particular group thinks they ought to want. Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.

the film does make sense, from a certain point of view. It is certaintly possible.

However, if its true, then the FBI is guilty of high treason for hiding the evidence.

It did seem funny to me, but honestly, there was nothing gained with the plane's crash. If you were to provide me with concrete evidence for all of the planes, that might make sense. But a single plane not making a big hole and because no one took up close pictures of a plane shape doesn't prove any theory, since no country would do that for no gain.

What do you meanm no gain? Faking a terrorist act gives us perfect reasons to invade the middle east and get control of the oil.

Besides, although we are not supposed to be taking Iraq's oil, how can we be sure that the feds aren't skimming some under the table? All they got to do is pump the fields in the middle of the night. That's my theory, anyway.

It's also strange that the Iraq campaign was originally called:

Operation
Iraqi
Liberation.

makes you think, doesn't it?

Because naming your key operations to secretelly mean something else that you don't want anyone to know about makes sense.

No, I agree with you, that faking a terrorist attack would be benificial. But, they provide nothing for the WTC or the ground crash. In fact, in the book Sine's artical talks about, they use the other plane crashes as a defence. But really, if those attacks were terrorists, than why just randomly blow up part of your own headquarters? I mean, 3 planes is enough, adding a 4th into an importent military/intelegence building?

But you're all still missing my point. Why fake only 1 terrorist attack if the others did happen? If all of them were faked, then the entire argument of the pentagon being faked is shot out of the water since they're arguments were in compairison to the other attacks that they are giving the benifit of the doubt of being true.

Though I can understand their point, I mean the evidence of it not being a 757 that hit the Pentagon is there...

But logically, there's just no reason for us to do something like that to ourselves...

Could you imagine all that would be entailed in faking such an incident... they'd have to have a flight number, proof the plane never landed, and it would cost money to fabricate those potential 'documents' or whatever, then there's the people they'd have to pay to pretend they really lost someone on the flight, as well as pay the people to pretend to be dead, change their name, etc... Then there's the people the airport they'd have to pay that knew the plane landed.

And if that is the case, there'd just be no way they'd be able to get EVERYONE that was at the airport who knew the plane landed, it'd be too easy for just one person to 'slip through their fingers' plus someone would have to notice that people were being questioned or talked to, or possibly over-hear the conversation... the probability of them being able to cover ALL of their tracks is just way too low, because there'd be someone in the business they'd have to pay to keep their mouth shut too.

If they made up a flight number, they'd still have had to come up with names of the passengers, and possibly pay people to pretend to be their family members mourning their loss.

It just seems too involved...

Now I have a quick question... it's been a while since 9-11, and I've since forgotten a little about what went on afterwards... but did they find any parts of the planes that hit the WTC towers? If not, then there's just no argument.

Finally....

If the plane was moving at the 530 MPH they said it was (if I read it right, it was moving a bit faster than my reading-rate likes) would that camera be able to pick it up nice and crisp and clear.... plus, really, how easy would that be to photoshop, take a picture of the pentagon from that angle, and add a small object moving towards it, seems that would be an awfully easy photoshop.

Yeah, I guess irreplaceable military intelligence officers are nothing of major importance, and are completely expendable. Since, you know, military intelligence wouldn't help any conflict in the months to follow.

America doesn't have 'high treason'. It doesn't appear in the Constitution or the United States Code. "High treason" is plotting to kill the monarch (Up until 1999, it was still theoretically possible to be executed for this crime in Britain), as opposed to just plain "treason" which is plotting against a country.

Considering most of our intelligence up to that point was pretty disorganized and/or WRONG, especially in some of the months that followed.

Again, just playing along, but that is a fact. Had our intelligence community been working together like they should have, the entire thing probably could have been prevented. Then after the fact, the president acted several times on intelligence that was bad or inaccurate. You'll note he's changed his reasons for going into Iraq several times.

Snopes have some well written articles, and some not so well written ones...

This isn't one of the better ones. I can't say I'm inclined to believe it wasn't an aircraft that hit the pentagon, but Snopes choice of photographs sure doesn't help.

At the top, in reply to the question about the extent of the structural damage, they show most of a wing of the pentagon being removed, months afterward. However at the bottom, another picture shows a lot of fire damage, but not much structural damage.

If someone showed me this image without telling me it was the pentagon, and said the damage was from a 757. I'd have a hard time believing them. So snopes don't use this image to show damage.

In reply to the question that little to no aircraft debris was visible, they show a small piece of nondescript metal:
I distinctly remember a police officer standing next to a jet engine in the street during the WTC attacks. I'm sure they could have found something better to illustrate the point than this.

For the question about the wings seeming to cause little damage, they show a zoomed out, blurry picture, which shows extensive scorch marks, but not much more structural damage than you can see in the first picture I posted here.

In spite of 7 images, and links to ~7 more at CNN, there's nothing you can point your finger at and say "arr me hearties, here be aeroplane".

Gonzo, I'm tired of people listening to the administration using the intelligence community as their scapegoat despite the intelligence community trying to warn congress before the attacks happened. I'm not influenced by any of it at all. I just question. When it comes to the government, I trust NOTHING they say. I question everything they claim. If a plane crashed, fine. That's what I believe anyway, but it won't kill me to consider someone elses view of the matter and then consider it for myself.

just kidding... kind of.

The real conspiracy is Wookie06 only posting on threads like this. I cant recall him ever posting on a topic that doesnt relate to Bush or the Military.

In a site ( http://www.globalaircraft.org/planes/b757.pl ), it says that the max cruising speed is .8 mach at altitude, in thin air. At the ground level, it probably isnt capable of attaining that speed unless is was flying full throttle at a about 20* angle. Definitely not at the level it was flying at. The pilot was not very good at flying, ant it would take an experienced pilot to pull out of a full-speed 20* dive and not plummet into the ground. This was obviosly a smaller more manueverable plane. The video said it was flying at 530mph. Thats alot. Its gotta be something smaller.
