You know, I was curious about that kirbs. I was wondering if dwarves grew slower (remaining smaller) when compared to their age, or if they grew to a certain size like other children and stop growing earlier?

It's complicating. The part of the brain the controls growth is slightly enlarged, creating problems with limb growth, but it also slightly effects the torso's growth too. I came out a normal, slightly big baby. I looked fine until around 1st grade when everyone started towering over me and I was still a couple feet tall, mostly due to my legs, however my body was about normal until 4th or 5th grade and then people started getting clearly larger than me.
